James Early, Guest Financial Literacy Instructor

James Early is the lead advisor to The Motley Fool Income Investor newsletter, where he finds market-beating dividend stocks for his subscribers. James has also served as The Motley Fool’s Director of Research & Analysis, a role in which he developed the Fool’s growing analyst team. James regularly appears in national media such as CNN, Men’s Health, The Wall Street Journal, and National Public Radio. He is also an anchor commentator on Motley Fool’s radio show, Motley Fool Money, and is awaiting the day when his wife will let him regrow his handlebar moustache.

James’ institutional investing background began at TSL Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund, where he devised models to forecast investing transactions. He holds a BS in Finance, magna cum laude, from George Mason University, and is a former vegetarian. James is a native of the DC area and enjoys sharing his passion for the outdoors, conifers, and investing with those around him.
